I retired in 1974 and worked for the Small Business Adminstration as their Liqudation Loan Officer and retired after 20 years. Started my opened my own business for a couple years. Gave that up. Belong to a civic organization Optimist International and before I left it I was a Governor of South Central District.
At the present time I am semi-retired awaiting on approval from VA for my disabilities. I have been already been declared 30% disabled in my right arm with parkinson disease.

Best Moment When the ship across the equator on both the Pacific and the Atlantic Getting to go to Rio De Janiero now that was a experience all by itself.
Worst Moment Got up one moring after a rough night of battling a storm off of South America trying to get to the Atlantic side we discovered that we lost a 5" gun plus the starboard spounate deck (if I spelled the word wrong because I could not find it in Webster), anyhow it look like a cutting torch came along and cut the deck right away from the starboard sidel
