Retired in August 2008.  Conduct genealogical research for self and others on a fee and non-fee basis.  Maintain a primary family tree of 38,000+ individuals and eight family research trees on www.Ancestry.com, 'The Barber Family Tree"..

   Other Comments:

Started own office computer and data capture equipment and office practices company, with 7 fulltime employees, in 1979 and sold/merged and transferred on going contracts into similar company in 1981.  Worked for a number of technology companies as Federal Contract Administrator, VP of Business Development, Federal Program Manager, and Technoloigy Consultant.  Public speaker at numerous office technology conference in U.S., Canada, and Brazil.  Wrote over 20 technical articles for office technology publications.  Acknowleged by "Whos Who in America" for efforts in optical character recognition and office systems technology.

Best Friends
Attended Naval Reserve Mini-Boot Camp at NAS Dallas, TX, August 1957 for two weeks as Airman Recruit.  Promoted, while assigned to VP-934, to Airman Apprentice at NAS Willow Grove in early1958.  Promoted to Airman at NAS Williow Grove in Fall 1958.  Assigned to P2V-5F in VP-934 as Ass't Plane Captain/Second Mechanic.  Qualified as Air Crewman in October 1958.  Deployed for 2 weeks TEMPACDUTRA to NAS Quonset Point, RI in July 1958. with VP-934.

Qualifying for Navy Air Crewman Badge.

Lost numerous friends in crash of two (2) VP-934 - P2V aircraft during TEMPADUTRA near Naples, Itlay
