Last Known Activity:


Resigned his commission on 12/31/1907 and immediately became a Vice President of the Electric Boat Company.  LCDR Davison was an expert at torpedos, mines and naval guns.

1911 - 4 years after he resigned his commission, while working for Electric Boat, Gregory Davison was the Navigator of the USS Salmon, (later re-named D-3), for the first transoceanic journey by an American submarine.

   
Other Comments:


In 1942, the destroyer USS Davison (DD-618) was named in honor of Lieutenant Commander Davison.
