What are you doing now:

I retired from 33 years in Law Enforcement and continue with my emergency services work, currently as a First Responder (Fire / Rescue, Traffic Officer) and member of SAR TEAM 1 for Eastern NC.

I have kept up my medical skills and have an unofficial "turtle rescue" program at my home where I "fix and repair" turtles (mostly Box Turtles) that have been hit by cars and such. After rehab, 1-2 years, I try and release them back into the wild.
