Other Comments:

In 1960, as a result of his political and racial activities, the United States Navy discharged Rockwell one year short of retirement. The official reason was that Rockwell was "not deployable" in the Naval Reserve due to his views. The board proceedings to separate him were an extremely public affair and Rockwell widely advertised the results stating that he "had basically been thrown out of Navy".
