	Hull number DD-951 *USS Turner Joy* (DD-951)** was a Forrest Sherman-class destroyer in the United States Navy. She was named for AdmiralCharles Turner Joy USN (1895–1956). Turner Joy was built by the Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging Company of Seattle and commissioned at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. Her keel was laid on 30 September 1957. She was launched on 5 May 1958, sponsored by Mrs. C. Turner Joy, and was commissioned on 3 August 1959.
