Additional Information
Last Known Activity:
Stan was stationed at Seal Team Five and training in Echo platoon at the time of his death He was traveling home from a wedding with three fellow teammates from Seal Team 5 and were involved in a high speed collision at the intersection of Via De La Valle in Del Mar, California. Stan and fellow Seal Team 5 teammate Bill French were killed instantly. Stan had a number of duties in his platoon which he accomplished with consistency. He is widely remembered for his great generosity, his carefree, outgoing attitude, and his enormous desire to succeed in everything he did. This was a great loss for many and he will always be remembered amongst his teammates.
Other Comments:
What I remember about Stan is his friendliness and willingness to drop whatever he was doing to help out someone. Whenever he had a little down time or maybe it was lunch time he would sit on any tailgate that he could find in the parking lot behind Seal Team 5 and play his guitar. Any chance he got to play guitar, he took it. He always asked me when I was going to bring my guitar to work so we could sit out there and play some tunes together.
