Operational and Building Data: Laid down by Norfolk Naval Ship Yard, February 1, 1940. Launched February 16, 1942. Commissioned August 16, 1942. Decommissioned January 9, 1947. Stricken June 1, 1962.
Fate: Preserved as Memorial, Mobile Alabama, June 11, 1964.
