Center Commander Lauds Accomplishments Of Sampson Men...
Commodore Harry A. Badt, USN, Center Commander, in a statement commemorating the Center's second anniversary expressed pleasure over the work that has been done throughout the Fleet by men trained at Sampson. His message said:
"I am happy to greet the officers, enlisted men and women, and civilian employees of Sampson on the occasion of the second anniversary of our great Naval Training Center.
"The past two years have been busy ones for us all and our task is not yet done! But I think we may find real satisfaction in the knowledge that Sampson's name now is being carried to the far corners of the earth by the men and women who have been trained here.
"We must work all the harder if final victory is to be ours. Let us never forget that Sampson men are helping to shape that victory."
