Henry Clay Taylor was the 15th President of the Naval War College starting in 1893. Years differ in some accounts as to rank of Commander, then in 1894 he made Captain and commanded the USS Indiana BB-1 1994-1898. Other accounts show his presidency at the War College as 1893-1896. He retired as a Rear Admiral.
