Upon the USS Sturgeon's decommissioning in 1994 my former division officer managed to take possession of this "piece of history". When he downsized homes recently he decided that he could no longer properly display it and offered me the chance to be its' caretaker. I did not have to think twice... Proud and honored to do so!!!
