Captain Franz was a sailorā??s captain. When we went across the line together in 1968, he went through the Pollywog / Shellback ceremony with the crew. He had us fight hard, train hard, play hard and brought us all home safely. He handled the ā??short pants incidentā?? like a gentlemen, and got a good laugh.
