In the late summer of 1996, USS THE SULLIVANS Combat Systems Team went to Moorestown, NJ for an intense two-week [AEGIS Specific] Combat Systems Team Trainer. On the weekend in between, the CO Gerry Roncolato and the XO Steve Davis, both arranged for a bus to take us all to the Gettysburg Battle field for an in depth history lesson. It was a great day punctuated by being able to watch the Docu-drama "Gettysburg" on the Bus's TV on the way to and from the battlefield which gave us all a much more "real" sense of the particulars and the overall significance of the battle.
