As one of the Ship's ASTACs, I controlled ASW aircraft throughout COWPENS' Sea trials and Combat Systems Certification period. During that time I got tagged as "The Doctor". On the inside cover of my my Air Control log book, a fellow "OS" named Matt Fay, drew this cartoon of me.
