CDR Fuller is seen taxiing his normally assigned aircraft NP #681 onboard BONNIE DICK in 1967. On a subsequent mission this aircraft suffered serious battle damage and was deemed no longer flyable. CDR Fuller was flying a unit spare on 14 July 1967 when he was shot down. This particular aircraft was craned off BHR when the ship returned to San Diego. It was then trucked to the Davis-Monthan AFB boneyard. The aircraft sat in dead storage for several years. Selected by the Smithsonain for museum display the aircraft was restored in her 1967 paint scheme, and is now on display at the NASM in Washington, D.C.
