RM3 porter(who passed away due to cancer), RM3 Cortez, RM2 Mcgowan, HT2 Toro(yes we were on the same command again) poor ship. RMC Tolleffson. Many of the guys in enginerring, and deck. Did not hang with the RM's except dave and sammy. westpac 88 was wild especially after we went to Pataya Beach thailand especially riding the speed boats into the beach and wading in. that closter beer was wild.

Acknowldging a White Pennacle in under 7 minutes. when I received my ESWS in 1988. it was not mandatory then.

going on west pac with one of the worst RM1's Barnett who became a chief it does not amaze me that he was promoted to RMC he kissed enought ass to get it done. I ever worked for. having to go thru shell back day certificate was not in record.

We had this 0-1 who was the CDO for the ot's and every time I had watch she played barry manilo. it would drive us crazy. we had speakers in radio so I would turn them down and hook up out own music. we worked 2-2-80. any RM's who did this will know what I mean. both of my children were born on guam at navy hospitial.

I came back in 1978, I came back in as a RMSN after being out for 11 months I took orders to the staff. my recruiter got me these orders. I got qualified quickley after arriving and with in 10 months of being back in the Navy(I was active duty in the air force I got oout as a SGT/E-4) I took the RM3 test after that and made as a 1st selection. I already 8 years in the navy when I took it. It all worked out in the end. I was assistant watch supervisor as a RM3. Some of the RM2's were pissed cause RMC made me assistant watch supervisor. I asked them what were you doing in 1971. you were in JR high or elmentry I was in country in nam acknowldging oboes and flash traffic. end of statement Best part of being on 7th flt staff was that when he went to the PI we were there for 2 weeks he had to attend a 7thflt conference. Once I had to accomopany him. in my dress whites. he wanted me cause I was a Vietnam Vet and he was too. I had hell of a hangover that day. but it was ok we at the officers club. man I was living high on the hog that day.

I was sent to USS Horne CG-30 after the COMSEVENTH FLT Embarked on USS OKLAHOMA CITY CLG-5 Decommissioned. in 1979 and since I was going to reenlist in Jul of 1980 everyone was sent to either the blueridge or midway, so they sent me to the Horne, loved being in the radio shack working with the other RM's I was a RM3. We went to again to PI austrailia. in Jul 23rd 1980 I shipped over for 6 years and got RM C-7 and USNS PASSUMPSIC-T-AO-107 After C-7 Schooling. I leanred so much about being a RM3 when I was on C7THFLT that as a RM3 it did not take me long to learn the radio shack on the horn,.s
