Brian Pearce who I at first never knew and got to know him when we were both stuck in Norfolk,VA because of a cancelled flight back to Dodge that lasted a month. It turns out he was my best friend and became my brother. How can you fit seven people in a Chrysler New Yorker? Answer - when they are all friends. Walking up to the Wendy's drive-in, eating breakfast and asking for a cream for coffee and getting it tossed directly into the cup of coffee. Priceless!! In Diego Garcia - Getting drunk on the short pier, getting drunk at the enlisted club. Eating spaghetti dinner at the Seaman's club. Great moment seeing the Southern cross for the first time. Getting drunk with USMC and was able to live to talk about it.

Fire in Number 1 Engine room, hot. Then a F-4 decided to slide into the catwalk upon landing. Crazy. Lying in the coffin rack. Scary at first then after getting curtains and a 11 hour day. Who cares especially since I had my walkman listening to tunes helped ease the time. Being on the bottom rack. Sucked.
