From Techrep Berthing (abt frame 21) hearing the slam of waves over the bow during sea trials after installation of the "bubble" to raise the bow of the ship.
Following severe porpoising with the ship's propellors windmilling hearing "Fire, Fire. Fire" as 40+ years of paint self ignited on the struts holding the propellor shafts in place. The Japanese engineers observed that the same thing happened on the IJNS Shinano during her sea trials in 1945...the last ship to be fitted with a "bubble". Shinano was sunk by a U.S. submarine as she was also undergoing sea trials in Tokyo Bay.
