I HATED having to go into the Firerooms while on COLD IRON Watch because of the WWII history of this fine ship, I BELIEVED I could hear voices talking to me of those that died during the JAP Ship and Kamikazi attacks, that almost sunk her. Of course constant expansion and contraction of the steam lines making creaking noises didn't help.
