  • Delivered to US Army Transportation Service, date unknown
  • Acquired by the US Navy in March 1947
  • Commissioned Miscellaneous Auxiliary USS Sharps (AG-139), 3 August 1947, ENS. Francis A. Farris in command
  • Reclassified Light Cargo Ship(AKL-10), 31 March 1949
During the Korean War USS Sharps participated in the following campaigns:




























 
  • Decommissioned, 3 April 1955, at Astoria, OR. and transferred (loaned) to South Korea under terms of the Security Assurance Program
  • Commissioned into the South Korean Navy as ROKS Kun San (AKL-908)
  • Sold to South Korea in 1974
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 20 August 1974
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
  • USS Sharps earned three battle stars for Korean War service
