From 1965-1975 she carried the hull number of CVA(N)-65
According to recent reports the ship is on her 25th deployment not 22nd deployment.

December 1, 2012,  The first and oldest Nucler Carrir\er was inactivated pending defueling, afterwards she will be towed to Bremerton Washington where her bow abd stern will be removed so she can be eased into a dry dock where her 8 reactors will be cut from her in order to be stores at the Maval Reactor Storage Area. Afterwards she will meet the same fate as her namesake.  The cutters torch.   During yhe Inactivation cerimony the announcement from the Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus that the legend would continue... The third Ford class crrier to be built, CVN-80 will be named USS Enterprise.
