Description
We are a non-profit 501(c)4 veterans service organization of United States Marine Corps, FMF Corpsmen, and FMF Chaplain Veterans providing service to fellow Marines, Corpsmen, and Chaplains and their families. The Jack Maas Detachment 1379, is the local Fredericksburg, VA Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
Our Charter was established on July 23, 2011 and the Jack Maas Detachment is the youngest and fastest growing veterans organization in the Fredericksburg area. We are here for you!
Incorporated by an act of Congress in 1937, the Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines who proudly wear or who have worn the Eagle. Globe and Anchor of the Corps.
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the the United States Marine Corps.
This is accomplished by banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from the service; voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines and former Marines and to their widows and orphans, and by perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
We hope you will consider becoming a member of our great organization. As a fellow veteran we have much in common, and together we can impact our community. If you would like more information on how you can get involved, please contact us!
