Folks talk about the Lone Sailor, but what they see is a statue somewhere; what I see is the picture I've posted. We've all stood the watch on our own. Our shipmates were tethered to our necks but when it came down to it, it was just us and mother nature. Whether it was on the fantail of frigate, parking lot in the shipyard, a lonley pier in South America, the crows nest... Shipmate if you've been there I'm proud to call ya Brother.
