TM school was pretty boring. It wasn't even on my list of choices in boot camp! I liked Orlando, though. WDW hadn't opened yet when I was there, so Orlando was still a sleepy little southern town. I forget the name of the pond on base (Lake Corinne??), but we rented a little aluminum skiff and piddled about for a couple of hours. Later, getting off a 0400-0800 watch at the TM school, I spotted a ginormous alligator swimming on the surface against the rising sun!
