I retired from the Navy Reserve and Lockheed Martin both in October of 2004. I went back to Lockheed Martin as a Contract Engineer in July of 2006. I "retired" again Dec 31, 2009 after 3 1/2 years back at Lockheed Martin.

I was most honored to have attended the "pinning" ceremony and COC of RDML Chris "Tree" Sadler at NAS North Island, CA on Aug 19, 2010. He relieved RADM Patrick McGrath as CNAFR. 3 of us (retirees from NR CFWP 0170), AOCS (Ret) Michael Massey, ADCS (Ret) Molly Gilbert, and myself), were honored to have received an invitation and we were most highly honored to attend! I wore Summer Whites for the first time in 6 years to honor RDML Sadler on his promotion and new tour as CNAFR.
On Nov 12, 2011, I attended SKC Clarence Briggs' commissioning ceremony to CWO2 at the NOSC, NAS Ft. Worth JRB. I was MOST pleasantly surprised that RDML "Tree" Sadler, CNAFR, was in attendance! A very memorable commissioning for CWO2 Briggs and a great time visiting with the RDML!
In August 2012, RDML Sadler wrapped up his tour as CNAFR in San Diego and was most recently Vice Commander, US Sixth Fleet in Naples, Italy.
He was promoted to RADM in August, 2013 at the Pentagon, Washington D.C. I was most disappointed that I was unable to attend his promotion ceremony.
After a STELLAR Navy career, RADM Sadler retired in September 2016, at the Navy Yard in Washington DC.
