Details Behind Award
For professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as Assistant Nuclear Weapons Accountability Officer and Special Weapons Naval Escort in Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic, Kings Bay, Georgia from April 1999 through April 2002. Petty Officer Tebeau consistently performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. His superb technical knowledge and comprehensive understanding of nuclear weapons accountability requirements ensured the accurate accounting of all special assets and timely submission of a myriad of required weapons reports and documents. As a Special Weapons Naval Escort, he expertly coordinated and flawlessly executed over 170 logistic transfers between SWFLANT, local contractors and Department of Energy (DOE) personnel. Additionally, he was a key contributer to the safe and successful completion of four Mini-DASO Operations, eight CINC Evaluations Test, four START Re-entry Vehicle On-Site Inspections two START Data Update Inspections, one Defense Nuclear Surety Inspection and a Navy Technical Proficiency Inspection. Petty Officer Tebeau's exceptional professionalism, initiative and loyal devotion to duty reflected great credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
