I was a pretty good fastpitch softball player, but I managed only three weak grounders off Bob. He could really still "throw the heat" at age 65.
The Bisons management could not find enough local "celebrities" to participate, and asked me if I'd be interested in hitting off Bob? OF COURSE! I was also able to get my brother Chuck an invite. He was a pretty good high school baseball player at the time. He managed to connect better than I did.
And why didnt my mother move from behind that damn screen?
