“Johnny was doing a magnificent job when it happened. He was strafing, very low, and his target blew up, and he went right in. There just wasn’t a chance for him to get out, and please believe me, - it was terribly quick.” Lt. Overton goes on to say “He was one of the best, and always did a wonderful job. Personally, and every way, Olive, we miss him so much. He always fought with all he had, and I’m terribly proud to have fought with him. Ever Sincerely, Ted.”
