Last Known Activity
Stationed on the SS Paul Hamilton as part of the USN Armed Guard (USNAG) when it was torpedoed by the Germans on 20 Apr 1944.  All hands were lost and only one body was recovered.  Those lost included 47 U.S. Merchant Marines, 29 U.S. Navy Armed Guard, and 504 U.S. Army Air Corps.
