Rear Admiral Harry Aloysius Guthrie, USN (Ret.)

Harry Aloysius Guthrie, Gallatin, Tennessee, 1898-1971, was a Rear Admiral in the United States Navy and a member of the United States Naval Academy Class of 1921-A*. Guthrie’s unpublished memoir includes anecdotes pertaining to his education at the Naval Academy, service aboard submarines and as Assistant Naval Attaché in Berlin, the U.S.S. Yorktown and the Battle of Midway, and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
