Last Known Activity
 Admiral Forrest P. Sherman, CNO of the United States Navy, died unexpectedly on 22 July 1951 in Naples, Italy, at the age of 54.
  Adm. Sherman had been touring the NATO defense area and visiting Admiral Robert B. Carney Commander NATO Forces in southern Europe, as his last stop before returning to the United States.
  AdmiralSherman suffered a heart attack early in the morning and a second fatal heart attack just after noon.
