Last Known Activity
Killed aboard USS VINCENNES (CL 64) at 2110 local on 14 Jun 1944 in the vicinity of the northern Marianas.  He was operating an electric arc welder in the aft engine room; it shorted and electrocuted him.

He was buried at sea at 1500 local on 15 Jun 1944.  Position: 24-59N, 143-31E
