Last Known Activity
Carl Eskew served in the U.S. Navy. In 1944, he was aboard USS Albacore (SS-218)—a submarine that, according to Japanese records captured after the war, is believed to have struck a naval mine off the northeastern shore of Hokkaido. He was 20 years old when he was killed in action.
