The family will be receiving friends at the Murphy Funeral Home of Arlington, 4510 Wilson Blvd. on Friday, January 14 beginning with the recitation of the Rosary at 3:15 pm followed by calling hours from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. His life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial and interment with Full Military Honors in Arlington National Cemetery to be announced at a future date.

Admiral Zech played baseball while at the Naval Academy in 1943 and 1944. Career statistics BA .351, 2 HR, 21 RBI.
