From the April 15, 1944 USS KIdd Muster Report. S1c Bynog and many others:

Killed in Action at 1410 (2:10PM) in the line of duty during a Jap Plane crash and bomb explosion aboard ship in waters approximately 90 miles from Okinawa Shima. 10:30 12 April 1945, buried at sea.
