Last Known Activity
GM3 Cline was killed when his river patrol boat collided with another patrol boat. He was on his 2nd tour of duty in vietnam. 
He did receive the Purple Heart Medal for earlier actions. 
 
   
Comments/Citation
He received his Bronze Start posthumously, before his death on June 21, 1968 before his dear, after a ambush on his another patrol boat he left the relative safety of his boat to located companions in the water and pull them to safety. GM3 Cline was assisted by another crew member and they successfully lifted two sailors and a Vietnamese Policeman from the water. When all the visible members of the stricken boat safely aboard, GM3 Cline return to his position of Aft Gunner on his patrol boat and returned fire on the enemy. Sadly 3 days later he was killed collision of his boat and another.
