Petty Officer First Class Thomas Free was Killed in Action on December 7, 1941, during the attack on Pearl Harbor.  He was stationed aboard the USS Arizona BB39.

***Petty Officer First Class Thomas Free was the father of Seaman Apprentice/2c William Free who was also Killed in Action on the USS Arizona BB39.  They were the only Father/Son that were killed at Pearl Harbor.***
