My Great-Uncle Harry Erwin Peters was lost when the USS Juneau went down November13, 1942. He was the oldest boy, and was reffered to as "Boy" by his family. My Great-Grandmother and the rest of the family were always troubled by the fact that they didnt know if he died in the the battle of Guadalcanal, or when the ship was sunk. That is why I came on this site, to make sure he is remembered and to find out any information I can so my 85 year old Grandmom can finally be at peace regarding his death.
