William E. Clayton served aboard the USS Brownson DD-518 - which was sunk December 26, 1943 by the Japanese during the Battle of New Britain.  There were a total of 108 casualties.  I am trying to locate as many survivors or their relatives as possible.  I have put together a book about the Brownson & her crew and have in my possesion the dvd of the battle in which the Brownson was sunk.  I can reached at my home email
