Ensign (APPOINTED) William Finnegan was Killed in Action on December 7, 1941, during the attack on Pearl Harbor.  He was stationed aboard the USS Oklahoma BB37.  

He was posthumously appointed an Ensign on November 18, 1941, from Chief Petty Officer.
