Captain John Dachos USN (Ret.) passed away December 18, 1999 after a long battle with kidney cancer. He was born on May 25, 1938 in Nashua, NH and graduated from the Naval Academy in June of 1959. In 1963 he attended the naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., where he received a Masters Degree in Physics. Capt. Dachos served more than 30 years in the Navy.

His wife of 35 years, Martha Ann Dachos; a son, Lt. Cmdr. Jonathon Dachos; two daughters, Natasha DuFresne and Navy Lt. Sarah Dachos; four sisters, Melba Congleton, Lucille Gelpi, Joan Aguirre, and Elaine Ethier; and one brother, James Dachos, survive him.
