Robert S. Kronberger, CDR. US Navy, Retired, and Pearl Harbor Survivor, a Founding Father of the PHSA. (one of the original 11.) He served the organization as President and Vice President

Bob, was born in
Boston, Mass. on Dec. 17th, 1917. He died on Oct. 5th 2006, at Big Bear City, CA. from respiratory failure.

Bob, was raised in
Annapolis, Maryland. His mother was Barbara Bock. His father Samuel, was Chief Warrant officer (Gunner),
US NAVY Retired. Also a Founding Father of the PHSA. His widow is, Marion Alberta Mc Laughlin. They were married in November of 1948.

His Children are, David W. (Chief Journalist) USN Retired.
and Jessie Marie, plus four grandchildren, His brothers were William, (Chief Boilerman) USN Retired, Richard, Lt. Cmdr. (Supply Corps),US Navy Retired. Edward, (Boatswain' s Mate) one of the 11 Founding Fathers of the PHSA. Walter, Douglas Aircraft, Retired.

Robert, received education at Annapolis High School, then, San Pedro High School in CA. Went to Frank Wiggins Trade School in Los Angeles, CA. then Armed Forces Institute at Madison, WI.

He enlisted in the US Navy, March 5th of 1935, and retired on
December 1st, 1970. He was aboard the USS West Virginia (BB 48) during the Pearl Harbor attack.The ship was sunk. Later he served in the ETO, and Korea,
as well as
Viet Nam
.

Bob Kronberger, was a guest at the White house four times, and had an illustrious US Navy career. He received dozens of Medals, citations, and battle stars. He has been listed in the Marquis, "Who's Who"Publicatons, "US Navy Memorial in D.C." and "Free Masonry," who name him as a community leader and noteworthy American.

He was a member of The American Legion, VFW, Am Vets, and PHSA.
Ramond D. Bowman, called him a "National Treasure." Leo Priest, 251st CA (AA) Camp Malakole, T.H. and buddy from PHSA Post 21, in Palm Springs, CA. and Newsletter Editor, dubbed Bob, "The Prince Of Pearl." He wrote, "If it wasn't for him you and I would have never met each other. He brought us all back together..."
