Dear EO3 Gregory John Pearson, sir As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned. May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you. With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir Curt Carter

Los Angeles County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway
A portion of Sepulveda Boulevard/State Highway Route 1 in El Segundo near Los Angeles International Airport has been dedicated to the residents of Los Angeles County who served in Vietnam. This section of highway is now designated the Los Angeles County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. Adopted by the California State Legislature in 2000, the highway honors the more than 350,000 California veterans who served in the Vietnam War, including the 5,822 killed or missing in action. Los Angeles County has the largest number of Vietnam veterans in California and 1,857 of its residents were killed or missing in action during that war. This memorial corridor provides a fitting and proper way for the residents of Los Angeles County to express their gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices these Vietnam veterans have made for their country.

my uncle
Posted on 12/4/07 by John Gregory Pearson - johnny.pearson@gmail.com
Although i never met my Uncle Greg, my dad always looked up to him and would tell me about his older brother often. I have always been very proud and honored to be named after my Uncle Greg, and hope to name one of my boys after him in the future.

His wife Allison, also an MP will be leaving for Iraq this next spring., unless I have anything to do with it! They have a little daugther Vanessa, She's got grit just like YOU! Please watch over them I know you have clout from above, I love you, Terry

My Cousin, Greg
Posted on 2/28/99 by Kathy Thompson - sthomp@swlink.net
I have many happy childhood memories of my cousin, Greg. Our families shared so many good times together. Greg's mother (Colleen) is my mother's (Marcie) sister. My mom and my aunt have always been very close... and I can remember spending lots of happy times with my cousins. We were a formidable group of nine noisy kids, as I recall, and we always seemed to have a good time together. Greg was the oldest of the group, three years older than me, and always someone I admired and respected.

While I know Greg is in a better place, I am sad that I never got to know him as an adult. Greg was good and kind and loving. He would have made a wonderful husband and father. He was certainly a special son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.

We ALL miss you, Greg. God bless you.

With Love,
Kathy Dolberg Thompson

A Life Missed

Greg--
My childhood buddy
with the sunny smile

They shipped you off to fight
when we were both still young.
Now I’m 50
but you’re still 20.
WHY? ...why? ...why?

My never to be forgotten brother, Greg! I love YOU!
Posted on 1/29/99 by Terry - hartman21@worldnet.att.net
Greg was and still is my brother. He has two other sisters and one brother. His mother is still living in Northridge, Calif. He is in heaven with his father. His father died of cancer just 5 yrs after Greggy died in Vietnam. I feel it was really a broken heart. It is so hard to loose someone who had so much potential and a love for his familiy, friends and life. He is missed in the flesh but his memory still lives on with me. I have three children and I speak to them of their Uncle Greg quite often. I know there are others out there that have this same kind of story and we are not alone. I wish all the families and friends of our brave men who died and served in the war have a little hope that life is still a great place. Knowing that these who gave of their life for their country help us to get through lifes daily struggles. I wish I could hear some other thoughts from you. I was so excited to hear of this web site. I will be telling my Mom very soon. She is an avid interneter and to my knowledge has no idea this web site exists....Love to you all Let us all keep in touch and share our time
Love, Terry(Little sister of Greg Pearson)
