Last Known Activity
Albert, died during battle in the Pacific Theater.  He was the co-captain of a plane that was shot down at sea. His captain was so severely injured that my Albert, though himself wounded,  took control of the plane and safely landed it in the Pacific Ocean, saving the lives of the crew who survived and were later rescued. Albert H. Savikko died at 21 years of age.
