I don't know if we ever met, but looking at your date of arrival in country, I realized we arrived on the same plane. Most of the passengers on the commercial flight were corpsmen from Camp Pendleton. We got notified we were going about 3 weeks before the flight. There was some urgency about getting us there. It was normal to spend two or three days getting jungle uniforms and orientation in Okinowa, but they passed the word for all Corpsmen to get back on the plane after we were there for an hour or so. We flew into Danang. I'm sorry you didn't make it back with us. I will always remember that flight as I was in the best of company. Thank you for your sacrifice, my brother.
