October 2008:  Recently detached from USS KITTY HAWK; on our way to Sunny Florida for Shore Duty after 6 1/2 years on FDNF/Aurdous Duty in Japan...

Memories For This Unit

Worst Moment
When driving up the Coronado Bay Bridge, heading toward I-5, the car my family friend's let me borrow to drive ran out of gas half almost at the top of the bridge! A maintenance truck had to push us up to the peak of the bridge so we can coast it down the bridge (on the down sloap) and make it to the nearest gas station!

Other Memories
Attending Church Services in San Diego; traveling around San Diego, staying with the Gumuban's in Spring Valley, early 1995...they were very accomodating and helpful to me as a young, single Sailor...
