Thank You - I absolutely think what you all are doing for our Navy family is outstanding. I love this website as I have been reunited with old shipmates from years past. I have tried many search engines in the past trying to find out where old shipmates were at and you all are the only ones where I have been able to get in touch with my Navy family. I want to thank each and every one of you who work at Navy Together We Served and I hand salute you all. - Troy Victor Fuchs, IT1

Best Military Website - I have found this website the best of any military websites I've seen. Thanks again. - William Culver, PO3

Bravo Zulu Admin - TWS is the best of any site I’ve been on, military or otherwise. BZ Admin, keep on keeping on. Hand salute! - SW Englehart, Jack (THE SHERIFF), PO3

By Far the Best - TWS Is by far the best website I've ever been involved with. I'm sure many of you feel the same. With the personal profiles and numerous tales told on these pages, TWS serves as an ongoing military archive. - Tugboat Phil (Kao mauna), CPO USN (Ret)

Found lots of people - I found numerous people on this website. People I were in boot camp with, A school with, and several I was stationed with. It's good to see where these people are today and what they are doing with their lives. Discovered that of the engineering officers who was stationed with me is the current Governor of Missouri, Matt Blunt. He was an ensign when he came on board fresh out of the academy. He was a LTJG when I got out. - Abadie, Byron (CoonAss), PO2
-
13 years later - I found several guys I was stationed with but had lost contact with over the years. We have even got together in the past few months. Great site....that's why I became a lifetime member. - Minckler, Kirk (Mink), PO1

Where do I begin - every once in a while for many years I have been looking for people from my boat with the internet.......once in a very great while I would find a dead link to an unused email address.... I found this site pretty much by accident and gave it a try.........I found something like 30 people I knew within the first 2 days on here.....I've been in constant contact with a bunch of them ever since....About a year after I got out of the Navy, I felt that something was missing, so I joined the Army Guard.....after three years of sheer boredom, I got out again.........then for several years...something was missing again......this site brought it back to me..... Thank You!!!! - Bergren, Aric (Cheese), PO3

No words can describe - Finding not only shipmates but true friends I would to this day give my life for means the world to me. I have thought about these guys more times than can be counted and always wondered where they were. I found almost all of them on TWS. Amazing....just amazing to me. I can't stop checking in on everybody....I just don't want to loose them again. Thank you so much TWS..........!!!!!!! - Megson, Gary (Marty), PO3

Major success! - I spent a lot of money subscribing to any web search site I could find, cold calling hundreds of people, I found several people using this method, however, I was invited to this site and within minutes was reconnected to a shipmate I was looking for, Imagine searching all of US for a Robert Harris. To say the least, it was frustrating, Thank You so much for this site. - Fleming, Eric (ELF), PO1
-
Kami Seya buddies - I have reconnected with half my buddies from Kami Seya Japan (81-84). Including my best friend Sandra..It feels like we've never been apart...Thks NTWS! - Probst, Stephanie PO1

Awesome! That's how I describe this website.......I have connected with shipmates from all the way back in bootcamp until the most recent....Its great to catchup. - Pace, Charles (IYAOYAS/Chuck/C.J.), PO1

Honored - Not a lot of words but I want to take this opportunity to say that I am honored with finding this site on the recommends of a shipmate while doing some navy searching on Google. It has given me the chance to find some old shipmates from several commands and also being able to track down my old chief Vigil now retired SHCM. As a young sailor without a true guide as to what I wanted from my naval career he took the time to inspire me and guided me to do my best and be a great sailor, friend and human being. - Colon, Ramon (candyman), PO2
-
US Higgins Plankowners - Just about everyone who was a Plankowner aboard USS Higgins is on here. I attribute this to the fact that it was such an outstanding command that we have actively seeked a way to find each other and TWS has provided us a home for that. So thank you to TWS for being a place to reunite shipmates. - Johnson, Laura (LJ), PO1
-
Not my story - I hope I am not stealing his thunder, but this is too cool not to share: I got a TWS message from a shipmate that I served with in Kuwait. He told me that his son, who is on active duty found him through this site and contacted him after many years of not being in touch!! How cool is that? - Zimmerman, Brenda (Lady Z), CPO
-
22 years worth of friends! - It's amazing, I have found people from Boot Camp, Cecil Field, Pax River, Dallas, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Miramar. I've found people I forgot all about. Whoever came up with this site idea will have a special place in Heaven for bringing so much joy into our lives. AWESOME! - Sanders, Sherry, SCPO
-
A truly blessed site - Hats off to the NTWS member who came up with this site. Have found countless shipmates from the past. Still searching for some Vietnam Vet's so if your still around, join the site damn it. It's better than therapy. Thank you so very, very much for putting some spirit back in my life. The site is the greatest medicine not found in a bottle! - Martin, Michael (Marty), SCPO

Found a Shipmate of my father! - After I joined this site and posted my fathers profile I found a shipmate of his from 1956 on the USS Altair!! You talk about a blast from the past. Yes, he remembered my father and even told me a sea story about him which swelled me up with pride as it confirmed everything I already knew about my father. This gentleman,Joe Kozak, and I have now been emailing since April and as soon as we get a chance we will be getting together for a family barb-b-que. I have a cruise book from 1956 of the Altair and found Joe in it and in this website. I made a copy of it and sent it to him. He really enjoyed seeing old friends again and reminiscing about old times. Thank you NTWS. - Nelson, Frank, SCPO

Getting together - I'm getting together tomorrow night with an old shipmate I reconnected with on TWS. I haven't seen the guy in almost 10 years. The last time I saw him he was an OS1 and I was an RM3. Now he's an OSCS and I'm an IT1. Where does the time go? Thanks TWS! - Miller, John (Junior), PO1

Three Shipmates from 1966 - I found three shipmates from when I was an RMSA 41 years ago. This site is the greatest. Every day I find another shipmate. I use this site daily. Thanks Shipmates for a great site to contact old shipmates and remember times that have long ago gone. - Thornal, Fayette (Thorny), CPO

I use TWS on a daily basis - We get about five or six sets of orders for my students every week. Because they usually end up graduating about a week or two from the time their orders hit the streets, they have no time to get sponsor packages and info for where they are going. I just get on here, find someone from that duty station and hook the two of them up. Helps the students out a lot and I know they are grateful. - Cohen, Noam (Hector), CPO

My old LPO from P.I. - So, I see my old LPO has a page on NTWS. I added him to my buddy list. He sends me as e-mail a few days later saying, "I haven't been back to PI in 19 years. I am back there right now on the old Subic Bay base visiting with my wife and I get an e-mail from you." I thought that was pretty neat timing. So I wrote him back told him I am in Washington neow, gave him my number and said call we'll catch up when you come back CONUS. He called me this morning. He lives 20 minutes away and has lived there for 10 years!! Were meeting for lunch this afternoon. - McLain, Gerald (Last PHCM), MCPO
- Yep - I've found three old shipmates from Vietnam days that I was, quite frankly, surprised to find alive. My best find was a shipmate I was stationed with in VA-115 on the Midway back in '72-'73. We had some great times together but hadn't seen or heard from each other in over 33 years! I put his name out and a 1st Class who works with him now and is a member here contacted me and gave me his phone and email. After playing phone tag, we finally got together on the phone and spent two hours just talking...found out that we'd been within 100 miles of each other for over 20 years and didn't know it. Very cool! - Jerominski, Phil (Ski), PO1
