§§ THOMAS DELBERT JOHNSTON passed away at home June 13, 2000. The Richmond, California native was 52. Loving husband of Mary Lynn Johnston of Richmond, son of Mel Nichols of Clearlake Oaks, CA , brother of Judy Tuttle of Castro Valley, CA and Michael Johnston of San Pablo, CA.

Thomas graduated in June of 1965 from Salesian High School in Richmond, CA. Thomas worked at Schmidt T.V. in Richmond for nearly 30 years having recently taken over the business. Thomas was a Richmond Police Reserve Officer dedicating countless hours over the past 25 years. He was a United States Navy Air[crew]man as a Sea Lord having served his country in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Richmond Chapter of the VFW, Post 913, and was a member of the St. David of Wales Catholic Church in Richmond.

Friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2000 at St. David of Wales Catholic Church in Richmond. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2000 at Civic Center Chapel of Wilson & Kratzer Mortuaries, 455 24th Street, Richmond. Visitation is 2:00-7:00 p.m., June 19, 2000 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Rolling Hills Memorial Park in Richmond.
