 Additional Information
What are you doing now:

After I left the Navy in 1979, I had a variety of jobs.  I worked at the Navy Exchange garage in Norfolk and then at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard before returning to California.

I tried to re-enlist shortly after I came back to Cali but because I had messed up my knee, they wouldn't let me back in.

I then spent six years working as a receptionist for an insurance company in Los Angeles.

Since 1989, I have been with PG&E, first in Redding, CA and currently in Stockton.

And the moves continue...on January 20, 2008, I returned back to where I first started with PG&E...back to Redding.

Well, more changes.  As of February 1, 2013, I am retired (sort of)!  Due to constant problems with my vision, I took an early retirement.  I cut back from working two full time jobs to only one.  I became full-time caregiver for my mother, who was an Alzheimers patient.  She was a handful, but I had had her living with me since I returned home from the Navy!!  Now she was regressing to being a child.  We had been living in Anderson, California, but my niece invited us to rent her rental house next to hers in Paradise.  Moving a woman in full blown Alzheimers was NOT a smart move in hindsight.  The area reminded her of far too many bad memories and before long, she was in a nursing home.  I could no longer control her.

My sister had moved up to Brookings, Oregon and invited me up for a visit.  I fell in love with the area and really wanted to be with family.  Mom no longer even knew who I was, so I bought a little place and moved up here.  Despite the fact that my sister lives here, we rarely see each other.  Mom lost her battle with Alzheimers in October 2015 and I feel far more alone than ever.

I have decided that this place does not make me happy.  I am now dealing with health issues thsat need  medical care closer than what I have here.  I am planning on moving back down to California.  It was my home for most of my life and looks like I am going home!!
