Retired in Pcola, after helping get NTTC Corry's new mission CID (Center for Internet Dominance) off the ground. Pretty cool name huh. Anyway worked for 5 years at local credit union as Net Admin, then went to school for 2 years at the VA's dollars and got some IT certs to back up my Navy knowledge, then spent a year dealing with my wife passing away by doing web sites and general consulting.
I got lucky and got a job at NAS Pensacola working for NETC for about a year, doing VTC's but there was not any technical work and then I got hired at Connexion Technologies as the Advanced Voice Network Engineer. I worked with a great team of the smartest networking people I have ever met in our out of the military. However the management got caught with their hand in the Dish TV cookie jar (Google Cary NC Connexion Bankrupcy).
I got married again and my wife is the first girl I ever kissed when I was 14. I am now a Network Engineer for Northrop Grumman working at the Navy base and I am very happy both professionally and personally.
